Have you ever woken up in your dream? More commonly known as Lucid Dreaming, with the ability to either navigate through your dream or observe yourself within a dream.
If you have, can you do this at will, or does this happen randomly and you are seemingly pulled into an obscure situation?
Dreaming has always been such an intriguing topic to me. From the various dreams we can have, the meanings behind them and how the interpretation can vary based on feelings and even subtleties within the dream and our waking state.
What's it like waking up in your current dream?
I think many times in life, we underestimate our capabilities. Capabilities as men and women and as human beings. Many times, this underestimation is something we are born into. Being led and fed by others who also fell into this same inborn underestimation.
So where do we learn what we are capable of if those who came before are incapable themselves? Does life require a series of hardships and misfortunes for us to truly see and understand our capabilities?
Most will never truly understand something or inner stand something unless they have a direct experience. Some don't always have to experience something to relate and grasp the gravity, or lack thereof, in any situation, occurrence or the like. They are few and far between, but more are coming into this inner awareness - which is such a beautiful thing.
It is so unfortunate to see children being raised and ingrained with their parent's inadequacies.
I wholeheartedly believe that not everyone is meant to be a parent despite the capability to do so. I also believe that many people do the very best that they can with what they have and still fall short and at no fault of their own.
Consciousness is something we must actively participate with.
Consciousness is more than just being alive and in human form.
Consciousness is being pure in heart and awareness when that pureness is compromised or falters.
We all have a responsibility here, and most of us just go through the motions of our lives as pre-programmed robots on autopilot. Following in the path lain before us as if we weren't here to forge our own.
When broken people have children, it further perpetuates this societal dilemma we are currently experiencing.
It takes consciousness and awareness - accountability and responsibility to create and maintain a life. Everything going on in society today is a clear example of damaged children living adult lives.
How do we move forward when it seems this perpetual cycle is all we have? On this never-ending wheel of trauma, abuse and inadequacy. How do we break away and begin to lead lives that fulfil us and those around us?
It all starts with accountability. Taking responsibility for our actions and inactions is a difficult but necessary step in the right direction.

I wrote this poem thinking of the barriers that are placed in front of and around all of us. Be it visible or invisible, we all deal with some sort of obscurity or block when it comes to becoming who we are meant to be. Anything from what has been taught to us by our parents and the society in which we live to the expectations placed upon us by others. Yet, when we learn to release and clear these blocks, so much can open up for us.
Some behaviours are so ingrained in a person it can take lifetimes to forget, un-know and shed these layers that have shrouded our true being. And unfortunately, many will leave this life, never coming to this awareness of their true self and what they were and are capable of. Many depart this life with such regret in how they lived, only to return with deeper and more difficult lessons than the last life.
We all have the opportunity to work towards coming to these understandings or inner knowings. Some have a harder time than others getting to this place as they have so much external turmoil to contend with that finding an inner balance can seem impossible. Yet, there is an abundance of wisdom and assistance available to all of us. We just have to ask.

We have all been dreaming
of ways to make this work.
Phone a friend
Close to the end
as detractors begin to lurk.
Spread the good news.
A pity for fools.

Locus - We're feeling
Waves that bring healing
Clearing through lifetimes of hurt.
No one's excluded
As some have illuded.
Sense gets a little growth spurt.
Freeing the mind
Enculturation takes time.
Evil becoming inert.
